What a support contribution is

Support contributions are voluntary, one-time payments to help fund the production of the Recovery Unsupervised podcast — hosting, editing, equipment, and this website. Available levels are $25 (Supporter), $50 (Friend of the Show), $100 (Podcast Partner), $200 (Featured Supporter), and $300 (Launch Sponsor).

What it is not

Recovery Unsupervised is an independent for-profit brand. Contributions are not charitable donations, are not tax-deductible, and are not made to a nonprofit or fiscal sponsor. No portion is represented as being passed on to any charity, treatment provider, or nonprofit organization. Recovery Unsupervised is an independent podcast and online brand. We are not affiliated with Narcotics Anonymous, any treatment center, or any nonprofit organization. Content is based on personal experience and is for entertainment and general informational purposes only. It is not medical, mental-health, legal, or treatment advice.

Payment processing

All payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe-hosted checkout pages. We do not receive or store your card details. Amounts are charged in US dollars. Your card statement will show a descriptor associated with Recovery Unsupervised.

Perks and recognition

Perks listed for each level (shout-outs, supporter listings, sponsor credits, early access) are provided at our reasonable discretion and generally within 60 days of the contribution. To receive a named or branded mention, you must email us the exact name, brand, or link you'd like used. We may decline to publish content that is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory, promotes substance use, or conflicts with the values of the show. Declining a specific mention does not affect your right to a refund under our Refund Policy.

No goods, services, or guarantees

Contributions do not purchase physical products, professional services, treatment, advice, editorial control, or any guarantee about episode timing, topics, or the continued existence of the podcast. Sponsorship recognition is not an endorsement by us of a sponsor's products or claims.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older and the authorized holder of the payment method used. Please only contribute what you can comfortably afford — supporting the show is never a requirement for listening or for reaching out to us.

Refunds and cancellations

There is nothing to cancel because contributions are one-time and not recurring subscriptions. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy (14-day window for undelivered perks; duplicates and unauthorized charges always refunded).

Business sponsorships

Larger brand sponsorships, ad reads, and partnerships are arranged separately by written agreement. Email recoveryunsupervised@yahoo.com to discuss.

Changes

We may update these Support Terms. The version in effect at the time of your contribution applies to that contribution.
